Oily is extremely pleased (actually we are freaking out) to announce the release of Habit #1 by Josh Simmons. This is Oily’s first step into producing some larger books not our usual mini comic format. Habit #1 will be debuting in Chicago at CAKE on June 15-16. Mr. Simmons will be hanging out at the Oily table signing copies of Habit #1.
Look at that cover. Just look at it! That is how you will be feeling this June if you decide to ride with Josh’s Habit #1. This comic book is 52 pages with 5 different stories form Josh and his collaborators. Get ready, children.

This is the final cover. In case anyone is wondering why I took “fucking” off the cover, I decided that it would be better to have the book be more more widely available than to have stores refuse to stock it. Plus I can still corrupt youths and their moms will think it is just some book. and the title pages make up for it. “Fucking” got its own page on the inside. Cannot wait to see this thing in real life. It’s weird being nervous about something that takes so long to happen. Okay, time to watch more storage wars with my cat. I’m gonna put a bunch of original pages up for sale tomorrow because Oily has incurred a tax bill and I need to raise some cash.  Anyone looking for any particular pages? I’m selling stuff from Snake Oil 6, 7, 8, my mome story, and maybe a few things from TEOTFW. I’m always available for commissions as well. I will draw something from TEOTFW or Nick Fury getting a shave or a family portrait or your favorite professional athlete or your mom’s favorite flower. The ball is in your court.  -chuck

Made the mad annual visit to the U.S. end of April, 2013 primarily to see family and as an added bonus, see old friends and with some luck make one or two new.

There are the regular spots that are visited, shops, street corners, restaurants. Interesting to see the changes. There is nothing…

Really cool picture and a personal experience on finding TEOTFW in Forbidden Planet.

Oily will be at MoCCA fest this weekend. It’s be me(chuck), Melissa Mendes, and also pals Joseph Lambert, and Matt Seneca. 

I’m not bringing the rack but I’m sure you’ll find us if you want it to happen. 

Also, trying something new. I’ll be set up to sell 3-month subscriptions at the show. Not sure if anyone will do it but I thought I would give it a shot. Just selling 3-months subscriptions for April-June. $30.00.

We’ll also draw your ID card on the spot so you can take it with you and sulk about how ugly we drew you.
